Influencer and Talent Manager
Role overview:
Focusing on the EU markets (including – but not limited to – France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands) the purpose of this role is to work closely with the in-market teams to successfully manage Influencer & Talent Marketing for their respective territories. This individual will be responsible for managing campaigns themself alongside working external agency(s) – where relevant – to bring JD’s campaigns to life with localised talent. Working closely with the Influencer & Talent Marketing Lead / Head of this role requires an experienced and extensive understanding of the Influencer & Talent Marketing landscape, which must include directly working with Influencers and Talent on all scale campaigns. This role may also require the management of a team / individual.
Responsibilities:
- Together with the Influencer & Talent Marketing Lead / Head of and team, develop Influencer & Talent Marketing campaigns and strategy to increase JD brand awareness, social engagement, follower growth and website traffic.
- Directly manage the relationship with any external agency(s) supporting with EU Influencer & Talent Marketing campaigns.
- Possess an excellent understanding of digital, retail and OOH landscapes and use this knowledge to implement strong campaigns.
- Experienced in evaluating effectiveness of campaigns, driving results, collating content, including their input and able to provide feedback.
- As the key stakeholder, build and maintain excellent relationships within the wider business across the EU, working with teams such as Social, Retail, Third Party Brand and Activations, this will include senior stakeholders (e.g. Director Level).
- Competent in leading for EU Influencer & Talent Marketing in the absence of Lead / Head of’.
- Work closely with the UK Influencer and Talent Marketing team.
- Manage multiple Influencer & Talent Marketing campaign briefs in line with launches and key calendar moments. Tasks incl. - but are not limited to:
- Budgeting
- Drafting of contracts
- Act as JD signatory where applicable
- Identifying JD relevant talent
- Managing conversations and content
- Updating internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with – and understand the needs of – the wider Multi-Channel / Marketing team(s)
- Reporting (incl. presenting of campaign results – which may include senior stakeholders)
- Larger scale projects which may include (but are not limited to) higher budget(s), senior / multiple stakeholder investment, hero brand association.
- Planning and budget management of several internal and external projects.
- Establish and track KPIs and best practices for performance evaluation.
- Attending key JD / brand events / activations where required and managing talent on site, this may include international travel. In some instances, acting as the most senior rep for JD, using initiative and expertise to support other teams.
- Manage existing relationships and cultivate new contacts within the sports, fashion, music and lifestyle space to ensure that JD are at the forefront of talent and agency’ minds.
- This role may require frequent international travel.
- This role may include the management of junior individual(s) within the Influencer & Talent Marketing team.
- This role may require the management of key ambassador relationships, working closely with talent management to build long term partnerships and develop relationships.
Role objectives and KPI’s:
Using extensive experience in the Influencer & Talent Marketing industry the key objective is to manage a team of individuals in delivering high quality Influencer & Talent Marketing campaigns for JD EU (including – but not limited to – France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands). This role also requires the individual to lead and manage their own Influencer & Talent Marketing campaigns. This role will act as part of the wider JD UK and EUteam(s) and must channel the overarching Influencer and JD Marketing strategies.

Skills and Experience:
- A strong understanding of the JD brand; past, present, and future
- A strong understanding of who the JD Influencer & Talent are and how they differ per territory
- An extensive working knowledge of the current Influencer & Talent Marketing industry across the EU and possessing a genuine interest in Influencer & Talent Marketing
- Experience working with and / or an understanding of the marketing landscape in EU territories (including – but not limited to – France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands) is highly advantageous
- Prior experience, min. 4 years, working in an ecommerce environment with a history in Influencer & Talent Marketing
- A min. 1 year(s) experience directly managing individual(s)
- Data driven, sound understanding of reporting and aware of / experience in actioning the latest Influencer analytics trends
- Excellent project management skills, organised and able to manage multiple projects
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills: able to give direction and to liaise closely across different levels of the organization, including experience with Senior Stakeholder management
- Eagerness to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience in / understanding of teamwork and why this is important in the workplace
- Displays a consistently positive attitude and understands the need for this in the workplace and how this affects development and the wider team(s)
- Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube as well as supporting social channels and new and upcoming platforms.
- Use of tools including Excel, Google Analytics and other influencer reporting platforms
- Experience working with / chaperoning Influencers and / or junior team(s) at events and activations is preferred
- Multilingual is highly advantageous
